Race Event Rules
On behalf of the Nanticoke River Swim & Triathlon Association, Welcome!
We’re glad you’ll be joining us in May. We pride ourselves on an event that welcomes
elite athletes and absolute beginners alike. Here are a few reminders to help everyone
enjoy the event:
Know the Course
We have the best volunteers in the world, but it is each athlete’s responsibility to know the course, so take some time to review the course maps and descriptions here (link). Better yet, plan some training on the course so you know what to expect on race day.
Know the Rules
Even if you’re not out to set a course record, please make sure you’re familiar with competitive triathlon rules. Check out this overview of the most commonly violated rules (link) to make sure you have a great race experience.
Make a Plan to Train
f you’re new to triathlon, there are lots of resources to help you get started. Training with a group can seem intimidating to a newbie, but remember, everyone was a novice once. You’ll find that training groups are welcoming, a wealth of valuable knowledge, and most importantly, FUN.
I’ll see you at the finish line,
